The Wedding

Our wedding will be the weekend of July 21st, 2007 at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp in Colorado. Read on for more details about the schedule of events, directions & lodging options. Please RSVP to let us know if you can attend or not.

Schedule

While our wedding ceremony is on Saturday, the 21st, there will be plenty of things going on the Friday evening before. We would love it if you could be with us to enjoy the fun. Also, as you can probably tell, we haven't completely finalized our schedule, but for now this will give you a general idea.

  • 8 pm - Campfire & S'mores
  • 9 pm - Games & Popcorn

Saturday the 21st of July 2007

  • 10 am - Brunch
  • 4:30 pm - Wedding
  • Reception to follow

Directions

From Colorado Springs

  1. Go West on U.S. 24 to Divide.
  2. At the Divide stop light, turn South on Colorado 67 toward Cripple Creek.
  3. Watch for the "Rocky Mountain Camp" sign about 4 miles South of Divide shortly after the entrance to Mueller State Park.
  4. Travel 1½ miles up on the National Forest road to Camp.

Lodging

There are several lodging choices available at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp. While some of the housing is more rustic, we think it would be wonderful to have all of our friends & family together for the weekend. Children under the age of 2 stay free and ages 3-11 are half price for lodging and meals. If you prefer, there are hotels a bit further from camp where you can also make reservations.


Camp Sites
$13 per site
Tents, trailers and RV's are welcome at the eight campsites situated next to Four Mile Stream. Each site has a level space for tents along with a picnic table, fire ring and parking space. Fire wood and a local hydrant for water is available along with accessibility to an area bathhouse that has shower facilities. Two of the sites have an electrical hook-up.
Rustic Cabins
$12 per person
There are six rustic cabins that can accommodate up to nine people. Each has three bunk beds and one double bed with a single bunk overhead. They utilize propane heaters and an area bathhouse facility.
Jungfrau - Chalets
$14 per person
Jungfrau is a Chalet nestled beside a stream and has a lower level lounge area with a kitchen counter and sink. It also has two half bathrooms (sink & toilet) with access to the area bathhouse. Upstairs are four bedrooms that each have two bunk beds and one double bed with a single bunk above. Each room can accommodate five people for a total capacity of twenty.
Tall Timbers
$14 per person
Located in the boys cabin area, Tall Timbers is a two story Chalet with private access to each floor. The lower level can accommodate up to eleven people with four bunk beds and one double bed with a single bunk bed above. The upstairs room has a double bed along with one bunk bed accommodating up to four people. The area bathhouse facility is located close by.

There are numerous hotels whithin easy driving distance of camp. We have reserved a block of rooms at nearest, Country Lodge in Woodland Park. You can make reservations there by calling their toll free number: 1-866-687-4466. Just mention you're with the Kuhns-Wright wedding group. Countless other hotels are located in Manitu Springs or Colorado Springs.
